The Real Organic Foods Company Limited

As reported by the Soil Association in February 2018, the UK organic sector hit a record value of 2.2 billion in 2017, continuing its trajectory of six years of solid growth with food and drink sales hitting record levels. Amongst the six key trends, identified in the report (which was based on a consumer survey), ‘taste and inspiration’ was a central factor.  This factor is wholly expressed by the range of products offered by the Real Organic Foods Company.

At the show, we met David Morgan, the Director, who enthusiastically demonstrated his curry and pasta sauces as well as the delicious marmalade and lime and lemon curd conserves.  We sampled these and found the authentic flavours and consistencies were exceptional in our view.  Clearly David is a champion producer who really knows how to ‘capture home-made freshness in a jar’, living up to his overarching company slogan.

Littlestone Coffee Roasters Limited

Referring to Mintel’s ‘Coffee August 2017’ report (the latest available), consumers are becoming ever more discerning and demanding of poor quality hot drinks.  A quarter of the coffee drinkers sampled considered themselves a ‘coffee connoisseur’!. This factor could be said to be fuelling the growth in Artisan coffee producers, with Artisan coffee shops popping up everywhere.

Jack Limmer, Director of Littlestone Coffee Roasters Limited is clearly passionate about his business as an independent producer of a range of superb, hand-roasted coffees.  Jack introduced us to the Expresso Blend and we found the flavour sensational – the dark chocolate and nuts ‘notes’ really punched through for a great taste experience.  Clearly Littlestone have perfected the small batch, hand roasting process and know how to source the best coffee beans from around the world.
